Achieve Pilates Harborne

Small-group Pilates taught with precision and individual coaching in a welcoming studio on Harborne High Street.

Pilates is for living well – now and into your future decades, creating change you can see, and control you can feel. Our aim is for you to leave each session walking tall with a better understanding of your body.

Our small group classes taught with expertise and personal correction will develop your strength, mobility, balance and coordination to support how you move in everyday life and underpin all other training.

We are passionate that Pilates meets you right where you are now, and is not limited by current strength, flexibility, fitness, age, gender or body shape. From the outset, Pilates was designed to help everyone from severely injured war veterans through to professional ballet dancers – it will help you to build strength and confidence from the inside out.

“Change happens through movement, and movement heals.” Joseph Pilates

I’ve had appointments with both Alex and Emily at Edgbaston/Moseley and have been amazed by the improvement since beginning with them. They have been able to both relieve muscle pain/tightness whilst giving me a bespoke training plan to improve my future health. I would certainly recommend them.

I have been having treatment from Jezzi for for a couple of years now for different issues. She is able to pinpoint the areas causing the issues and work on them with long term plans to prevent them from reappearing. I have seen different physios over many years but I have to say her treatment is the best for me.

I have been going for physiotherapy at Achieve (Edgbaston) for over 4 years and continue to do so. I have seen Rickie, Jezzy and Mitzi. They are all great. Achieve was recommended to me and I have recommended them to others seeking out a physiotherapist. Definitely give them a try if you are looking for a physio.

I’ve been seeing Rick at Achieve Health over the past few months and he’s helped tremendously with my back pain. I highly recommend Achieve Health who provide a holistic assessment and a good mix of physical therapy with self-care advice to keep potential future issues at bay.

‘Highly recommending’ Achieve Health may be a massive understatement… I am currently seeing Rickie and Beth for Physiotherapy and deep tissue work and I am super impressed! Not only are they both immensely knowledge and professional, but the teamwork between them also means my sessions are specific, targeted and I am always aware of the steps needed in my rehabilitation, which I have not experienced at other physiotherapy establishments! Having a gym where they can show and watch my rehab exercises is also a massive plus for me! Thanks Achieve!!!!

Just over a year ago I decided to finally see a physio after 6months of back pain at 25! I couldn't stand up properly, sit down or lie down. I went to see Jezzie and she pretty quickly narrowed down the possibilities and got to work. Over the past year she's methodically brought me back to my best, something i've not felt for a few years, and offered plenty of exercises/workout plans to continue on my own. Now I go for maintenance appointments every quarter. Jezzie is conversational and knows her job and physiotherapy like the back of her hand, she has fountain of knowledge which puts me at ease as a client.

Contact us before attending if the pain is new, worsening or significant, or if you have recently been injured or undergone surgery. We can help you decide whether a class, private Pilates session, rehabilitation or physiotherapy assessment is the most appropriate starting point.
Mat Pilates sits at the heart of the method; the tower and reformer are used to support, guide and challenge movement, helping clients develop strength, mobility, control and precision. Mat Pilates uses body weight, gravity and small equipment. A Pilates tower uses springs, bars and straps to create supported and resisted exercises. A reformer uses a moving carriage and spring resistance.
All group classes, private appointments and semi-private sessions last 50 minutes.
Mat classes typically have a maximum of 10 clients. Apparatus classes typically have 6-8, allowing instructors to provide individual guidance and correction. Some sessions may be smaller depending on the needs of the group.
