Achieve Beginners

Our beginner sessions are for people with no previous Pilates experience or those who would benefit from returning to the foundations. You will learn how to connect with your core and use your breathing to support that core connection providing stability and control. Time will be spent on fundamental Pilates positions and movements to develop your confidence with key foundational exercises. The pace allows space for explanation, correction and any questions as well as for exercises to be adapted for you as an individual.
Achieve Pilates 1

Achieve 1: Foundations and Control

Achieve 1 builds the foundations that sit behind effective Pilates. You will be challenged, but a measured pace provides the space to concentrate on form and how each movement should feel. As you make those mind-body connections, you will leave sessions feeling taller and notice improvements in strength, posture and movement patterns. Achieve 1 also provides a safe environment for those working through pain and progressing beyond physiotherapy or rehabilitation (please contact us with details of any serious medical conditions or injuries before booking).

Achieve 2: Progression and Flow

Achieve 2 expands the repertoire and introduces a greater degree of challenge, coordination and flow. You will develop stronger and more consistent core control, improved coordination between breathing and movement, greater stability, increased strength and mobility, smoother transitions and a deeper understanding of technique. Classes move at a more continuous pace and assume familiarity with the foundational repertoire. Your instructor will advise when you are ready to progress from Achieve 1.

Achieve 3: Strength and Challenge

Achieve 3 is for confident Pilates clients who have developed sound technique and body awareness. The sessions use a broader range of exercises, along with more challenging combinations, to develop whole-body strength, control under greater resistance, balance, coordination and movement precision. The pace is faster than Achieve 1 and 2, with less time required for explanation of the foundations.

If you are new to Achieve Pilates, before participating in this class please book into an Achieve 1 or 2 class as an onboarding session.

Achieve 4: Advanced Practice

Achieve 4 is our highest-level class for experienced Pilates practitioners. Sessions are designed to refine advanced technique, develop greater strength and control. Rather than pursuing difficulty for its own sake, the class maintains the Achieve focus on accuracy, quality and purposeful progression. Achieve 4 is available by invitation.

I’ve had appointments with both Alex and Emily at Edgbaston/Moseley and have been amazed by the improvement since beginning with them. They have been able to both relieve muscle pain/tightness whilst giving me a bespoke training plan to improve my future health. I would certainly recommend them.

I have been having treatment from Jezzi for for a couple of years now for different issues. She is able to pinpoint the areas causing the issues and work on them with long term plans to prevent them from reappearing. I have seen different physios over many years but I have to say her treatment is the best for me.

I have been going for physiotherapy at Achieve (Edgbaston) for over 4 years and continue to do so. I have seen Rickie, Jezzy and Mitzi. They are all great. Achieve was recommended to me and I have recommended them to others seeking out a physiotherapist. Definitely give them a try if you are looking for a physio.

I’ve been seeing Rick at Achieve Health over the past few months and he’s helped tremendously with my back pain. I highly recommend Achieve Health who provide a holistic assessment and a good mix of physical therapy with self-care advice to keep potential future issues at bay.

‘Highly recommending’ Achieve Health may be a massive understatement… I am currently seeing Rickie and Beth for Physiotherapy and deep tissue work and I am super impressed! Not only are they both immensely knowledge and professional, but the teamwork between them also means my sessions are specific, targeted and I am always aware of the steps needed in my rehabilitation, which I have not experienced at other physiotherapy establishments! Having a gym where they can show and watch my rehab exercises is also a massive plus for me! Thanks Achieve!!!!

Just over a year ago I decided to finally see a physio after 6months of back pain at 25! I couldn't stand up properly, sit down or lie down. I went to see Jezzie and she pretty quickly narrowed down the possibilities and got to work. Over the past year she's methodically brought me back to my best, something i've not felt for a few years, and offered plenty of exercises/workout plans to continue on my own. Now I go for maintenance appointments every quarter. Jezzie is conversational and knows her job and physiotherapy like the back of her hand, she has fountain of knowledge which puts me at ease as a client.
