Age Well, Move Better, Live Stronger with Achieve Health
At Achieve Health, we believe growing older is not about slowing down, it’s about moving smarter, staying strong, and living with purpose. For our Over 60s community, we’re committed to helping you maintain healthy joints, strong bones, balance and mobility- so you can enjoy life to the fullest.
Why It Matters
As we age, our bodies change in ways that can affect how we move, feel, and function. Here are some of the most common concerns—and how we address them:
- Arthritis & Joint Comfort
Arthritis becomes more common with age, and it can reduce flexibility, bring pain, stiffness, and limit daily activities. At Achieve Health, we understand that managing arthritis isn’t just about treating pain; it’s about preserving joint function and improving quality of life.
Our therapies include physiotherapy (strengthening, manual techniques, soft-tissue work), injections (where suitable), and movement coaching to reduce strain and maintain mobility. - Maintaining Bone Density & Bone Health
After 60, bone density typically declines, increasing risk of fractures, falls, vertebral collapse, and other issues. Strong muscles, balanced nutrition, weight-bearing activity, and proper load through joints are key to slowing this decline. We integrate strength training, functional movements, and biomechanical support to protect bone health. - Balance, Mobility & Preventing Falls
Loss of balance or mobility can be a turning point in independence. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on balance work, joint mobility, and safe movement patterns. These are built into our Over 60s classes as well as through physiotherapy and bespoke exercise plans. - Longevity & Wellbeing
Living longer is one thing; living better is another. At Achieve Health, we want you to not only extend your years but also enjoy them fully- staying strong, active, and independent. Longevity isn’t just about avoiding illness; it’s about proactively supporting your body at every stage.
That’s why we go beyond pain relief and exercise. Alongside physiotherapy, joint care, and strength training, we also offer genetic testing and blood testing to provide a deeper understanding of your unique health profile.
- Genetic Testing gives insight into how your body is predisposed to certain conditions (such as bone health issues, arthritis progression, or metabolic changes). With this knowledge, we can create highly personalised plans to support long-term health.
- Blood Testing allows us to track key markers like vitamin D, calcium, inflammation levels, and metabolic health—all of which are critical to maintaining strong bones, healthy joints, and overall vitality in later life.
By combining these insights with tailored movement programmes, nutrition advice, and ongoing monitoring, we can help you live not just longer, but with better energy, mobility, and resilience.

FAQs – Over 60s
Is it too late to start exercising in my 60s?
Not at all. In fact, many benefits like improved balance, strength, bone health, mobility are very responsive to the right training, even starting later in life.
Will exercising worsen arthritis or joint pain?
If done incorrectly, yes—but that’s why our programmes are adapted. We focus on joint-friendly movements, strength, mobility, and pain relief alongside safe load, so you can improve without harm.
What if I have had surgery (e.g. joint replacement) or serious arthritis?
We work with your medical history. After surgery or during advanced arthritis, you may need tailored physiotherapy or treatment first, then gradually move into classes as safe. Our clinicians guide that path.

By the end of the session my pain was much lower and my rom was much improved. Very knowledgeable! Highly recommended by me! James Sprittles2024-03-06 I’ve had appointments with both Alex and Emily at Edgbaston/Moseley and have been amazed by the improvement since beginning with them. They have been able to both relieve muscle pain/tightness whilst giving me a bespoke training plan to improve my future health. I would certainly recommend them. Jagtar Marway2024-03-05 I have been having treatment from Jezzi for for a couple of years now for different issues. She is able to pinpoint the areas causing the issues and work on them with long term plans to prevent them from reappearing. I have seen different physios over many years but I have to say her treatment is the best for me. Rebecca Brennan2024-03-05 I have been going for physiotherapy at Achieve (Edgbaston) for over 4 years and continue to do so. I have seen Rickie, Jezzy and Mitzi. They are all great. Achieve was recommended to me and I have recommended them to others seeking out a physiotherapist. Definitely give them a try if you are looking for a physio. M Rai2024-03-05 I’ve been seeing Rick at Achieve Health over the past few months and he’s helped tremendously with my back pain. I highly recommend Achieve Health who provide a holistic assessment and a good mix of physical therapy with self-care advice to keep potential future issues at bay. Efe Okoro2024-03-05 ‘Highly recommending’ Achieve Health may be a massive understatement… I am currently seeing Rickie and Beth for Physiotherapy and deep tissue work and I am super impressed! Not only are they both immensely knowledge and professional, but the teamwork between them also means my sessions are specific, targeted and I am always aware of the steps needed in my rehabilitation, which I have not experienced at other physiotherapy establishments! Having a gym where they can show and watch my rehab exercises is also a massive plus for me! Thanks Achieve!!!! Manjinder Singh2024-03-04 Just over a year ago I decided to finally see a physio after 6months of back pain at 25! I couldn't stand up properly, sit down or lie down. I went to see Jezzie and she pretty quickly narrowed down the possibilities and got to work. Over the past year she's methodically brought me back to my best, something i've not felt for a few years, and offered plenty of exercises/workout plans to continue on my own. Now I go for maintenance appointments every quarter. Jezzie is conversational and knows her job and physiotherapy like the back of her hand, she has fountain of knowledge which puts me at ease as a client.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 239 reviews
